Doseringen av Metformin Orifarm ska fastställas av din läkare i enlighet med dina blodsockervärden. Vuxna startar vanligen med 500 mg eller 850 mg metforminhydroklorid 2-3 gånger om dagen. Maximal dagsdos är 3 000 mg fördelade på 3 doser.
How much Pepcid should I take for renal impairment?
Table 2 shows the recommended maximum dosage of PEPCID 20 mg or 40 mg tablets for patients with renal impairment, by indication. Use the lowest effective dose. Some dosage adjustments may require switching to other formulations of famotidine (e.g., oral suspension, lower dose tablet). An alternate dosage regimen is 10 mg once daily.
Is Pepcid 20 mg safe for a child?
The use of PEPCID 20 mg and 40 mg tablets is not recommended in pediatric patients weighing less than 40 kg because the lowest available strength (20 mg) exceeds the recommended dose for these patients. Use another famotidine formulation for pediatric patients weighing less than 40 kg.
What is the half-life of Pepcid in renal insufficiency?
In adult patients with moderate (creatinine clearance <50 mL/min) or severe (creatinine clearance <10 mL/min) renal insufficiency, the elimination half-life of PEPCID is increased. For patients with severe renal insufficiency, it may exceed 20 hours, reaching approximately 24 hours in anuric patients.
How long does Pepcid stay in your system?
Most patients heal within 4 weeks; there is rarely reason to use PEPCID at full dosage for longer than 6 to 8 weeks. A regimen of 20 mg b.i.d. is also effective.
