Vad är Vaginaltopp?
Framfall är en försvagning av vaginalväggen som medför att någon eller fler av slidans väggar (främre, bakre, vaginaltopp/cervix/uterus) buktar in i slidan och ibland ut genom slidöppningen.
Vad är Rectocele?
Framfall av bakre slidväggen kallas ändtarmsframfall eller rectocele. Framfallet uppstår när ändtarmen sjunker ner mot slidan. Typiska symtom: svårigheter att tömma tarmen, möjligt att hjälpa med handen eller dusch för att kunna tömma tarmen.
Vad betyder rektal prolaps?
REKTALPROLAPS. Rektalprolaps är ett tillstånd där rektums samtliga vägglager prolaberar ut genom analöppningen i samband med krystning. En del patienter har tidigare haft besvär med tarmtömning eller obstipation. Prolapsens längd i samband med krystning kan uppgå till 8-10 cm.
What is an enterocele?
An enterocele, or small bowel prolapse, is a type of pelvic organ prolapse. It occurs when the small intestine prolapses, or drops, causing a bulge in the vagina. Postmenopausal women and women who have given birth are more likely to develop enteroceles.
What is an enterocele and rectocele repair?
A rectocele happens when the muscles in your vaginal wall weaken. This can be caused by: You will have a repair surgery. A repair surgery will strengthen the wall of your vagina with sutures (stitches). An enterocele repair stops the small intestine from bulging into your vagina. A rectocele repair stops the rectum from bulging into the vagina.
What are the side effects of enterocele surgery?
Surgery may not relieve pain in your vagina, back, or hips caused by the enterocele. You may continue to have pain during sex. A fistula (abnormal opening between the vagina and rectum) may form.
