M&M’s började tillverkas 1941 och lanserades i Sverige år 2009. Varumärket M&M’s ägs av Mars Incorporated. Bokstaven M står just för Mars (Forrest E. Mars Sr.)

När kom M&M?
M&m’s lanserades i USA av Mars år 1941, redan 16 år innan vi i Sverige kunde börja njuta av chokladkulor ur m-märkta maraboupåsar. De svenska rättsinstanserna lägger vikten vid att ”m” var först på just den svenska marknaden.
Are M&M’s and Hershey’s the same company?
So, Hershey-ets started as a competitor to M&M’s and while they didn’t find long-term footing in that area, they would eventually find their own way in the world of candy. Of course, Hershey’s haven’t thrown in the towel on the candy-coated chocolate category. Not by a long-shot.
How do you make Hershey Kisses with M&Ms?

If you’ve visited a candy isle in the last few years, you’ve undoubtedly encountered Hershey’s latest answer to M&M’s; their lineup of candy-coated Pieces. Building on the success of Reese’s Pieces, they’ve now got York Peppermint Pieces, Almond Joy Pieces, and Hershey’s with Almond Pieces.
Do they still make Hershey-eats?
