Vad är IgA-Nefrit?
IgA-nefrit är en typ av inflammation i njurarna, som är den vanligaste glomerulonefriten. Typiskt för denna typ av njurinflammation är att antikroppen IgA ansamlas i njurarnas glomeruli. Typiskt är att de drabbade har blod i urinen vid lättare infektioner. Sjukdomen är en vanlig orsak till njursvikt.
Vad är en njursten?
Njursten kan bildas av salter i urinen. Stenarna är oftast mycket små och spolas ut med urinen utan att du märker det. Ibland kan en sten bli större och fastna i urinledaren. Då kan du få mycket ont i ena sidan eller i ryggen.

These glomeruli normally filter waste and excess water from the blood and send them to the bladder as urine.
Can IgA nephropathy be diagnosed with a blood test?
Currently, health care providers do not use blood or urine tests as reliable ways to diagnose IgA nephropathy; therefore, the diagnosis of IgA nephropathy requires a kidney biopsy. A kidney biopsy is a procedure that involves taking a small piece of kidney tissue for examination with a microscope.
