För att snabbt få koll på vilka märken som är godkända enligt Djurens rätt kan du ladda ner appen Djurvänligt. För att vara säker på vilka produkter som inte är testar på djur ska du kolla igenom Cruelty Free Internationals (CFI) lista och hålla utkik efter märkningen “Leaping bunny”.
Is CeraVe cruelty-free or tested on animals?
CeraVe is not cruelty-free. They may test on animals, either themselves, through their suppliers, or through a third party. Brands who fall under this category could also be selling products where animal testing is required by law. “The L’Oréal Group, which includes CeraVe, has always made our consumers’ health and safety an absolute priority.
What should you look out for in cruelty-free skin care brands?
This conflicting and intentionally misleading phrasing is exactly what you want to look out for in skin care brands. For a company to be totally cruelty-free, it must not practice animal testing on all levels.
Is CeraVe vegan?
Yes, the UK CeraVe range is Vegan. Our products contain no animal derived products. Some CeraVe products available in the UK do contain cholesterol and glycerin (for example, the CeraVe Moisturising Cream), which might be confusing. CeraVe claims that these ingredients used in the UK versions of the products are from plant-based sources.
Do L’Oréal and CeraVe test their products on animals?
Even though L’Oréal and CeraVe claim that it’s the “health authorities” and not their company that test their products on animals, it’s important to note that L’Oréal and CeraVe had to pay for these tests to be performed.
