Vad ersätter Tavegyl?
Tavegyl (klemastin) rekommenderas inte längre. Det saknas evidens för att antihistaminer ger effekt i den akuta fasen av anafylaxi, men de kan dämpa klåda, urtikaria och allergisk rinit. Numera rekommenderas generellt icke-sederande antihistaminer per os. Rekommenderat val är generiskt desloratadin.
Är Tavegyl lugnande?
Tavegyl förstärker den lugnande verkan hos sömnmedel, muskelavslappnande läkemedel, läkemedel mot depression (monoaminoxidashämmare (MAOI), antidepressiva), ångestdämpande och lugnande läkemedel samt läkemedel mot smärta (opioider).
Vad händer om man överdoserar antihistamin?
Överdosering kan leda till allvarlig toxicitet. Symtom vid överdosering är exempelvis CNS-depression (alternativt paradoxal CNS-stimulering), andningsdepression, kraftig antikolinerg påverkan, hallucinationer, kramper, QT-förlängning och – i sällsynta fall – arytmier.
