Metacam finns som oral (intas genom munnen) suspension, som injektionsvätska, lösning och som tuggtabletter. Injektioner kan ges i en ven, muskler eller under huden. Den beredning och dos som ska användas beror på vilken djurart och sjukdom som ska behandlas samt på djurets kroppsvikt. Metacam är receptbelagt.
