Vad är Absolute position?
Vid absolut positionering bestäms mottagarens position direkt mot GNSS-satelliterna, och endast en GNSS-mottagare används. Vid relativ positionering bestäms mottagarens position relativt en eller flera punkter med känd position.
Hur kan man använda GPS?
Gps-systemet baseras på satelliter som kretsar runt jorden på 20 000 kilometers höjd. Gps-mottagaren måste få signaler från minst fyra satelliter för att positionsbestämningen ska lyckas. Genom att räkna ut avstånden till alla de fyra satelliterna går det att veta den exakt platsen på jorden.

När används absolut läge?
Läge = Används när vi ska förklara var en plats ligger och kan förklaras på två sett: Platsernas absoluta läge = Förklaras med hjälp av gradnätet. Platsernas relativa läge = Förklaras med läge i förhållande till andra platser.
