När kommer Vanquin tillbaka?
Vanquin (pyrvinium) 50 mg tablett, som används mot springmask, är åter restnoterat i samtliga förpackningsstorlekar och beräknas åter i början av 2020. Prognosen är enbart preliminär. För aktuella prognoser, se Läkemedelsverkets restnoteringslista.
Är Pyrvin samma som Vanquin?
Skillnad mellan Pyrvin och Vanquin Pyrvin har styrkan 100 mg per tablett till skillnad från det befintliga läkemedlet Vanquin som har styrkan 50 mg. Doseringen och maxdosen av Pyrvin skiljer sig något jämfört med Vanquin men detta bedöms sakna praktisk betydelse.

What are the risks of a pinworm infection?
People who live in institutions are at higher risk of developing pinworm infections. Typical pinworm infections don’t cause serious problems. In rare circumstances, heavy infestations can cause infection of female genitals. The parasite can travel from the anal area up the vagina to the uterus, fallopian tubes and around the pelvic organs.
What is enterobiasis (pinworm)?
This infection is also sometimes referred to as enterobiasis. Only humans, and possibly other primates, can transmit this type of infection. Pinworms are transmitted between humans via a fecal to oral route like contaminated hands and infected bedding.
