Hur många myskoxar finns det i Sverige 2021?
Har blivit för många Under vinterns inventering har man hittat 244 myskoxar. Förvaltningsplanen har som ett delmål att antalet djur inte ska överstiga 200 myskoxar. Under inventeringen fann man 55 tjurar, 109 vuxna kor och 37 kalvar. Övriga djur klassas som ungdjur, två- och treåringar.

1947 introducerades myskoxar till Dovrefjell i Norge och år 1971 vandrade 5 individer över till Härjedalen i Sverige. Populationen har som mest varit uppe i 30 individer på 1980-talet men hjorden består nu av endast 8 stycken individer.
