Vad betyder Diffusionskapacitet?
En undersökning av lungornas diffusionskapacitet gör man för att bedöma om det föreligger någon begränsning för syrgastransporten mellan lungor och blod. Om funktionen är nedsatt kan man också utreda om den beror på ökat motstånd i luftrören eller på andra faktorer.
