Vad tror aleviter på?
Bland såväl sunniter som aleviter har den islamiska mystiken, sufismen, med dess ordensväsen en viktig plats. Landsfadern Kemal Atatürk försökte förgäves avskaffa ordnarna eller brödraskapen. Officiellt är de förbjudna men de utövar stort inflytande i politiken. Ordnarnas medlemmar kallas ibland dervischer.
Varifrån kommer Yazidier?
Yazidierna är en av många religiösa minoriteter i Irak. Jesuiterna tillhör religionen yazidismen, som kombinerar olika element från bland annat kristendom och islam. I centrum står läran om en fallen ängel som har blivit förlåten av Gud och nu härskar över människorna.
Vad betyder Aleviter?
