Vad menas med att bära foliehatt?
Begreppet foliehatt syftar på en huvudbonad av aluminiumfolie som påstås skydda mot antingen farlig strålning eller tankeläsning utförd av utomjordingar eller hemliga organisationer. I överförd bemärkelse har ordet kommit att användas om personer som sprider pseudovetenskap och konspirationsteorier.

Bakgrund. Uttrycket kommer från att det ibland påstås (som satir och humor) att en del människor bär huvudbonader inklädda eller fodrade med aluminiumfolie i tron att dessa skall, likt en Faradays bur, skydda mot exempelvis elektromagnetisk strålning och tankeläsning, till exempel från utomjordingar.
