Den 13 november 1994 genomfördes en rådgivande folkomröstning om EU-medlemskap i Sverige. 52,3 procent röstade för ett medlemskap, 46,8 procent röstade emot och 0,9 procent röstade blankt. Efter folkomröstningen gick Sverige med i Europeiska unionen (EU) 1 januari 1995.
