Varför började Roald Dahl skriva böcker?
Roald deltog i kriget som stridspilot ända tills han blev allvarligt skadad. Han skickades hem till Storbritannien igen och då började hans författarkarriär. De första böckerna som Roald skrev var skräckberättelser för vuxna. Så småningom, på 1960-talet, började han skriva böcker för barn och unga.
