Kan man överdosera oxynorm?
Följande symtom kan förekomma vid överdosering: minskad pupillstorlek, försämrad andning (andningsdepression, lungödem), muskelslapphet, långsam puls och blodtrycksfall. I svåra fall kan dvala och medvetslöshet (koma) förekomma.
Hur administreras naloxon?
Naloxon Hameln 0,4 mg/ml ges alltid som en intravenös eller intramuskulär injektion (i en ven eller i en muskel) eller, efter utspädning, som en intravenös infusion (under en längre period). Naloxon Hameln 0,4 mg/ml kommer att ges till dig av anestesiläkaren eller en annan erfaren läkare.

How is Narcan given?
In the hospital setting, Narcan is typically given through an IV. In the outpatient setting, or when EMS responds to a call for an overdose, a nasal spray is typically used as it does not require an IV to be started before the medication is given. When given through an IV, this medication is given by trained healthcare providers.
What happens if you give Narcan twice?
Continue the Narcan doses, if available, until the patient becomes responsive or EMS arrives. Narcan nasal spray cannot be reused. If the person requires multiple doses, you should give the doses you have available, but additional doses cannot be obtained from used nasal spray.
How many doses of Narcan are needed for an overdose?
A single dose of Narcan may not be adequate to combat the opioids in the bloodstream, and it is relatively common for multiple doses to be needed. This is why it is important for EMS to be called as soon as possible when an overdose is happening, since most people will not have multiple doses of Narcan readily available.
How many mg of naloxone do you give for cardiac arrest?
0.4 to 2 mg IV, IM, or subcutaneously every 2 to 3 minutes as needed up to a total dose of 10 mg. For patients in cardiac arrest, in the absence of a proven benefit from naloxone, standard resuscitative measures take priority over naloxone administration.
