Airedaleterriern är en flott hund, full med temperament, robust och sportig. En allroundhund som är pigg och villig att hänga med på det mesta. Intelligent, energisk och avlad för självständigt arbete – alltså tar den egna beslut om den inte styrs. Rasen behöver röra på sig och få mental träning för att må bra.

What is an Airedale Terrier?
Like so many of the terriers, the Airedale was a working dog developed by working-class men who didn’t have the space or means to keep multiple dogs.
Can you leave a young Airedale Terrier outside all day?
Young Airedale Terriers are especially rambunctious and can turn your garden into a moonscape of excavated moles and tulip bulbs. Mental stimulation (hunting, obedience, agility, playing games) is essential for this thinking breed. You can’t just leave him alone all day or stick him outside and hope that he’ll lie down quietly and be happy.

Is the Airedale the right dog for You?
For others, not so much. The Airedale is a very intelligent and independent breed of dog, that is very athletic and has plenty of endurance. For this reason, they make excellent companions for athletic owners and would be happy to go with them on long runs.
