Vad påverkar TSH?
Hypofysen utsöndrar bl. a. det sköldkörtelstimulerande hormonet TSH (thyroid stimulating hormone). Här fungerar ett återkopplingssystem: om hypofysen nås av alltför mycket tyroxin, avstannar utsöndringen av TSH men om tyroxinnivån är för låg, ökar utsöndringen av TSH vilket sätter igen fart på sköldkörtelfunktionen.
