Varför gick Inkariket under?
Inkariket går under Genom svek och grymhet bröt han och de andra conquistadorerna inkafolkets motstånd genom att kidnappa och låta avrätta den härskande inkan Atahualpa. Strax därefter, år 1533, intogs inkarikets huvudstad Cuzco vilket ledde till att inkaväldet gick under.

Inkahövdingen Atahualpa gick med på att träffa spanjorerna, men blev vanvördigt bemött av dem. Trots det tillät han spanjorerna att bo i förläggningar, som låg vid stadens stora torg. I november 1532 besegrade spanjorerna Atahualpa och 5 000 av hans obeväpnade män med hjälp av sina gevär och hästar.
